While Dufrain excels in data engineering and analysis, they identified a gap in frontend development and user experience expertise. GearedApp collaborated with Dufrain to help bridge this gap, ensuring their solutions were not only technically sound but also easy to navigate via intuitive frontend interface

GDPR Compliance scanning tool

Dufrain had developed a backend system capable of scanning and assessing GDPR compliance within large datasets. However, they required a frontend solution to make the tool more accessible and user-friendly. GearedApp designed and built an intuitive interface, transforming the tool into a more interactive and engaging platform. The final product has since been deployed in multiple client engagements, serving as a key differentiator in Dufrain’s service offerings.

Subject Access Request (SAR) portal

Handling subject access requests (SARs) is often a complex and time-consuming process. Aiming to streamline this, GearedApp worked with Dufrain to develop a dedicated SAR portal. The solution allows users to submit requests, scan large volumes of data and display results in a structured, user-friendly interface. This has significantly improved efficiency, reducing the time and effort required to manage compliance-related data requests.

Dufrain’s tech stack

Dufrain developed the backend of the project using Python, exposing an API that GearedApp leveraged for frontend development. GearedApp designed the user interface and built it using React and Tailwind, focusing on a seamless and intuitive user experience. Our collaboration followed an agile methodology, with biweekly iterations and regular feedback cycles, allowing for continuous improvement and alignment with project goals.
